I have dark forehead, under eyes and pigmentation on my cheek bone. It did help lighten the spots but not immediately.
No shine.
A little thick but spreads well.
Felt very hydrating.
Noticed some redness under the eyes if used on the whole face everyday/frequently.
Probably better for spot treatment than whole face.
Used together with retinol product and it caused some redness probably due to lactic acid content so be careful.

I use alpha arbutin with the ordinary niacinamide and it works great on my skin. Such a good combo. Helped to clear up some nasty breakouts and lighten spots. And the price is a plus point. Highly recommended.

Previously used the Inkey List's alpha arbutin for about a month but switched over to The Ordinary and I prefer this much more. Product absorbs well and does not leave my skin greasy. I really like the addition of HA! My experience with alpha arbutin so far is good. I noticed that some of my dark spots have lightened, especially those around my chin area. My face looks brighter and more evenly toned overall. Progress is slow, but I'm sure I'll see better results with longer use! I use it day and night every day, so 30ml only lasts me a month. Will be repurchasing more soon
