A Mild Lactic Acid Superficial Peeling Formulation

Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 5% formulation offers very mild exfoliation and is supported with a purified Tasmanian pepperberry known to reduce signs of inflammation and sensitivity that is often associated with exfoliation.

This formula contains a studied Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to help reduce irritation associated with acid use. This derivative is of plant origin and varies in colour seasonally and this colour variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time.

Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin.

Note: While Lactic Acid can result in quick visible benefits, indirect forms of skin exfoliation is generally suggested in favour of direct forms such as this formula due to potential inflammation and sensitivity associated with acids.

Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration. If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Keep out of reach of children.

Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

I find it very gentle on my skin and no tingling/prickly sensation unless I tried to pick at my pimple or something. Smells good too while not being overpowering. Looking to increase to 2x a week to see if the effect is better.

I use this once a week as i have sensitive skin and dont want to over exfoliate. This is great for me. I might try moving on to glycolic acid (which is stronger acid) but this is great if you are just starting out on chemical exfoliants. (if you are still wary of sensitivity, you should try a weaker acid like mandelic acid)

Clin *** 2020-12-06 Variant: 30ml Skin Type: Normal	Another purchase I made during the circuit breaker period. We were sad, we weren't getting enough sunlight and outdoor time, our skin was sad. Tough times call for tough measures. This was another great purchase. I felt some amount of tingling when I first started using it (2 weeks after I introduced TO's niacinamide + zinc into my routine in the day) at night but that quickly dissipated upon daily use. Now I hardly feel anything at all, unless my skin was being exceptionally sensitive, which is rarely. This provides a light, gentle daily exfoliation just right for my skin. I probably wouldn't want to change it up to a higher percentage for daily use. One drop per side of the face plus an additional drop for my forehead (avoiding the eye area) was enough. Now, I use it once every other day on odd days of the week. Except some Fridays and Sundays, where I use either retinoid or the ordinary's 30% AHA + 2 % BHA peeling mask. But that's for another review.

P**** 2020-06-12 Variant: 30ml Skin Type: Oily	My skin is a lot more supple and smooth, and more even. I use this as a once a day exfoliator and its gentle on my skin. Recommend to start with 5% lactic acid first, before progressing to the 10%.
